Tony Royal – Managing Director
Tony Royal is a qualified Oenologist (1982) and prior to establishing Portavin SA, Tony worked as Chief Executive Officer of Oeneo Australasia Pty Ltd for 8 years (previously Seguin Moreau Australia).

After graduating from Roseworthy College in 1982, Tony had an extensive career working in key winemaking roles within Southcorp and Mildara Blass for 14 years prior to joining Seguin Moreau Australia.

Oenological and Technical Services
William Bambacas – Operations Manager
William oversees the Laboratory, Cellar and Quality division ensuring provision of technical support and analytical services to bottling operations for wine receival, wine storage, pre, in-progress and post bottling analysis, and analytical support for cellar adjustments. The laboratory is the key player in the maintenance of OH&S standards and regulatory compliance.

William brought in excess of 14 years experience in bottling and packaging to the Portavin SA team. He worked with Southcorp Wines for 8 years in roles of Quality Assurance Manager and Packaging Manager and prior to that worked with Bickfords.

Finance and Administrative Services

Leanne Conole – Finance & Administration Manager
Joining Portavin SA in July 2004, Leanne brings more than 10 years Accounting and Senior Office Administration experience within Chartered and Public Accounting. Having completed an Advanced Certificate in Accounting, Leanne went on to complete a Diploma of Business Studies and an Advanced Diploma of Accounting. Leanne is responsible for ensuring the business services division of Portavin SA provides a comprehensive range of high quality support services for the business.

Anna Auricht – Administration and Finance Assistant
Reporting to Leanne, Anna is responsible for finance functions including accounts payable and receivable, credit control and reporting. Email: anna@portavin.com.au

Customer Service Division and Bottling Operations
The Customer Service Team is responsible for ensuring responsive delivery of the following services to our clients including:
  • Customer liaison
  • Provision of quotations for all bottling and packaging jobs
  • Reconciliation of remaining dry goods
  • Invoicing of services provided
  • Customer follow-up
    Each of these roles has a client feedback reporting function to enhance the timelines of the critical information our clients require.
     
    Karen Ross – Client Services Manager
    Karen joined Portavin SA in August 2004, bringing experience in business development, sales and marketing. Following studies at University of Adelaide, Karen spent 5 years in superannuation administration industry.

    Following completion of marketing studies, Karen spent 13 years in consulting and business development roles within the recruitment and human resources industry and was a founding shareholder and director of specialist human resource and organisational development consulting firm, Locher Human Resources. In her role as Business Development Manager, Karen is responsible for business development, client service and key account management, and marketing of Portavin’s products and services within the wine industry and the general South Australian business community.     Rosa Caiazza – Field Account Manager
    Rosa joined Portavin SA in June 2010 and prior to this worked seven years in the credit insurance industry. Rosa brings experience in client service management, expertise in credit insurance and sales. During her working years in the credit insurance industry Rosa obtained certificates in both business management and training. In her role as Field Account Manager Rosa is responsible for new business development and key account management for bottling and dry goods clients of Portavin SA.

    Amanda Sparke – Bottling Operations Scheduler
    Amanda is responsible for dealing directly with clients in relation to future bottlings and all detail required for bottling specifications.     Tania Smith – Warehouse Inventory & Logistics Administrator
    Tania is responsible for the effective and efficient administration of Portavin SA’s warehouse service including inventory control functions for all finished and dry goods products.

    Maggie Xu – International Business Liaison / Dry Goods Receivals Administrator
    Maggie joined Portavin SA in 2010 and is responsible for liaison, coordination and translation services for International clients as part of Portavin SA’s wine bottling production and export operation. In addition, Maggie provides support to the Client Services team ensuring timely and accurate confirmation of receipt and dispatch of dry and finished goods is provided to our clients.

    Ashley Morgan – Warehouse Supervisor
    Ashley is responsible and accountable for the effective and efficient coordination of Portavin SA’s warehouse. The Portavin warehouse team is responsible for provision of storage, handling, logistics and export services for all dry and finished goods. Ashley brings in excess of 16 years experience within the wine industry across various roles within production, export logistics and administration.

    Production Team

    Peter Cole – Maintenance Manager

    Peter completed the National Diploma (Engineering) at the South African Technical College and migrated to Australia in 2004. Peter has more than 8 years wine industry experience specifically in the technical aspects of wine bottling equipment, gained in South Africa and in the past 2 years within Australia.

    Peter was factory trained by Italian machinery supplier (MBF) and has responsibility for the installation and ongoing maintenance of the Portavin South Australian bottling line. In addition, Peter is also responsible for supporting the Production Manager in the training and assessment of operational production personnel.
