The Portavin Integrated Wine Services group of companies is committed to embracing the concepts of sustainability, reduced carbon footprints, reduced inputs and reduced emissions. To date this has consisted of:

• Minimizing water usage on all Portavin sites.
• Introduction of technology to reduce electricity usage.
• Development of bottling sites near markets and ports to achieve reduction in freight and therefore fuel to move various requisites to and then from winemaking regions.
• Working closely with industry to develop and promote more environmentally friendly and sustainable packaging formats.
• Handling any re-cyclable materials used in the bottling process in a manner to get them back to re-cyclers in the best condition possible.

In the future, we will continue to improve our status as an environmentally responsible Company by becoming a signatory to the “Australian Packaging Covenant” and to search for ways to be more sustainable.
